“The Journey Home” is the emotional story of the shared journey taken by every animal at Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society. Told intimately from the animals’ perspective, the film captures one of the most important and eventful chapters of the animals’ lives as they spend time at our shelter. Finding their homes might be the ultimate destination, but the journey there, with all its many struggles and triumphs, is what ultimately helps define them.
Filmed over the course of two years, “The Journey Home” was gifted to Lucy Mackenzie by a talented and generous supporter and filmmaker who wishes to remain anonymous. We thank this person for their belief and dedication!
